Unfortunately, to the average voter money issues are often a Greek language. If anything goes wrong they tend to blame others especially the sitting president. With his tax breaks to the wealthy the orange POS added more to the deficit in his term. Whe conservatives talk about the Democrats policy of tax and spend they don't mention that means tax the wealthy and use that money to help the country. It would be interesting to see how our national weather crises will be handled by a Republican administration (they will simply blame it on the Democrats). Another, more serious problem is the push by the Republicans to stop paying to deal with climate change.
