I was having a discussion today with a female friend and she said she knew two married men who were on dating sites. She thought it was terrible and I said I didn't believe people should lie to each other in situations where one stands to be hurt badly. On the other hand, I told her I felt that if "Role Playing" was the type of site adults chose to spend time on then I think it's OK. So,, my question is what do men and women respectively think of an opposite sex partner playing role playing sex games on line?

It's cheating if one of the partners does not know.

I think the most important thing is honesty. If a person engages in such things, if they are totally honest about it with their spouse/partner and they have no problem with it, than I see it as an non-issue.

It’s up to the two in the relationship. What I feel is appropriate for my relationship doesn’t apply to you. Using swingers as an example, a lot of people would say you shouldn’t do that and that it isn’t appropriate for a relationship. I say that if the two people are happy swinging, let ‘em swing.

One human can NOT deal with all your needs, EVER. As long as your personal relationships are open, honest, with great communication then step away from all that judgement

I've been through it all. Married for 22 years, at the end of the marriage I was going inro chatrooms with other unhappily married people. I was seeking attention. Are you talking about having cybersex online??..? Whether your married or unmarried its not for me. I don't care what others do. I just don't like getting caught up with married men, who don't tell the whole truth about being married or separated.

As long as everyone is capable of giving informed consent, is of legal age, and
does no harm (unless it's requested), it's none of my business.
That leaves out children and animals.
Mind your own, as well. You don't have to like it.

In all honesty it's none of my fucking business what people do in their bedrooms. I do what I like and they can do what they like, keeping children and animals out of it of course.

Since I am a ‘mind,’ and emotion person...I cannot see how a person can separate his mind out into parcels...this for my bodily pleasure and this for my high ideals (assuming this is important to such a person). It seems to me they would all merge into unrecognizable separations! At which point anything becomes acceptable! I would not wish to risk the loss of boundaries of what was good or not good!

Not sure what gender has to do with it at all. It’s about the agreements the primary couple have. The lying is the issue not having side relationships. Men and women both do that.

Can't vote as I think it depends on each couple and their arrangements, but lying to your partner just indicates an issue that will only be resolved with communication.

If they are keeping it a secret it's douchebaggery..

It's disrespectful. I'm happy I'm single.
