What's your favorite movie quote?
Inconceivable! The Princess Bride
You keep saying that word... I do not think it means what you think it means.
"What a world, what a world". - Wicked Witch of the West.
Rutger Hauer's ad-libbed speech at the end of the original (and best) 'Blade Runner' as he countenances his own mortality and the transience of his lifetime: "All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain."
I can't recite it off the top of my head, because it's too complex, but my favourite 'quote' is a mini diatribe that Barbra Streisand launches at Ryan O'Neal through the other side of a shelving unit in a drugstore in 'What's Up Doc?', 1972.
Ryan O'Neal is a musicologist interested in the tonal qualities of rocks, prompting Streisand to gush about her love for feldspar, quartz and micas.
It's so ridiculous it makes me laugh every time I see it.
"Have you ever considered any real freedom...freedom from the opinions of others, even the opinions of yourself..."
Col. Kurtz, Apocalypse Now
A great movie!
One of the best films ever made imo.
the movie is based on a novel... "Heart of Darkness". With nothing to do about vietnam or usa as a matter of fact.
@GipsyOfNewSpain
Yeah, I know.
The story transcends the setting.
I know what you're thinking: "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a . 44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?
I fought I told you, just to blow the bloody doors off
'A Long Good Friday', right?
"And remember, be subtle" - Bob Hoskins to his seriously tooled up hoods about to scour the town for the villains making his life miserable.
@moNOtheist Wrong, Michel Caine "The Italian job" one of the best car chase movies and had two of the UK`s best comedians Noel Coward and Benny Hill
@273kelvin Ah well, can't win 'em all
