Hello everyone. I am currently having some health issues. I hope it's nothing serious but I have to wait for the blood test result
Many religious people I know (including my parents) say that this is my punishment for not being religious and living a "life of sin". My mother also tells me I should pray and ask god for forgiveness if I want to be healthy. All this makes me feel even worse ??
Trust your Doctors 1st. and always ! Our collective support with you all the way !
Sorry but doctors are wrong so much of the time as they're not trained in many things expect giving out meds. I could on and on about misdiagnosis doctors have done to me! I got hurt by trainer at a gym my doctor told me I had nerve damage in my foot and "nothing could be done". I suffered for years from it and went and got special inserts for my shoes and some other things and I'm much better. It turns out I did not have nerve damage at all. If yo have any 2nd thoughts at all get another doctor to see you! Please do this, I'm talking from decades of experience. Many doctors are poor at diagnosing people with health issues.
@valentine4real
If you have your doubts about one, try another, but trust them. There is no one else to trust ?
@BigBoMclain
I trust you, just wear a rubber glove when you stick your finger up my arse, please ?
I'm so sorry you're going through this. If your critics' opinions had any validity, the world would be a much better place. No religious people would ever get sick or experience tragedy. Anybody who was prayed over would be healed. Religion doesn't change the course or frequency of illness. Feel free to mention to your parents all their religious friends who get cancer and such.
Hi Alex,
I'm sorry to hear that you're not well.
As far as I'm concerned the concept of gods is puerile and belongs to an earlier stage of human development.
Someone has already advised you to listen to your doctors and be guided by them. I would echo that view. Forget the superstitious nonsense.
I wish you a speedy recovery.
Best wishes.
Tonight I will raise a toast for your good health.
My mother used to blame bad breaks in my life on my refusal to give my heart to Jesus. ? Stay away from her you are going through enough.
Well, forget that shit and if possible keep a distance from such negativity. Praying may be a good placebo but only if you believe in it. Also the statement implies that all religious people, because they don't 'sin' and they pray regularly must be super fit and have no health issues, no allergies, never get headaches or toothaches, the list goes on...I doubt you will find one of these Super-People in any religious house in the world. Perhaps the next time she gets a cold you could ask her to pray it away and stop whining! I hope the blood tests come back okay. Let us know how you get on. And illness has nothing to do with god. Its bacteria, virus and maybe even genetic. So if there is something of a genetic basis your dear ole parents gave it too you! Not sin or being non-religious.
Wow, i remember one born again telling a co worker she got MS because she sin. Hope your health issues get better. Hope you find people that are not going to go all old testment on you.
Spiritual people always try to find all the answers in religion. I'm a holy person too, but I don't think this is the explanation. Your blood results will show the real reasons. It would've been helpful to specify your symptoms. Maybe someone from this forum had passed through the same issues as you. Unfortunately, most people don't pay enough attention to their health problems until it is too late. I've always tried to take care of myself. The most severe illnesses don't cause any noticeable symptoms. The first step in keeping yourself healthy is to ensure hygiene. I usually shop for the needed products at [mcdaidpharmacy.ie] Online shopping frees my time a lot.
