Many are impressed with how much money someone makes, the friends they have or title they carry. What impresses you about someone?

Sarcasm, wit, intelligence and a healthy distrust of society.

11

The clarity of their thoughts, strength of their kindness and the peace they leave behind.

10

Intelligence and directness are what I look for in friends, associates, and partners.

Me too but lately I’ve been coming up a little short with some of my new acquaintances and that’s a bummer when you have higher expectations

@donotbelieve Don't forget creative cursing.

@CallMeDave Dang it! My cursing is predictable and straight forward. 😟

10

generosity, kindness, love, humor, patience, honor, honesty

10

I look first for kindness in people (how they treat others), then intelligence and a sense of humor.

Nice check list and I meant it sincerely

10

sincerity. don't care for bullshit

Agreed!

Empathy, especially towards animals, children and the elderly. respect for all things. honor and loyalty . . .

Blue could not have put that better

@Millerski25 i'm taking that as a complement so thank you. wasn't sure though if it was meant as a statement or a question . . .

@blueskies if I question anyone they will know for sure, no doubt. I’m quite direct

@Millerski25 well thanks again then!

I’m most impressed by the way someone will listen to another person. A child, a stranger, a song or a movie. Everyone has a story to tell, and listening to them is the best education a person can get.

8

The usual: kindness, respect, honest, hard working, honest and on and on. My add is that I especially respect those who seek the right answer, rather than seeking to be right. It is a rare mindset and leads to better outcomes.

.......and then again, I keep being asked why I am Nobody. It has been an interesting experiment of mine, gotta admit !!!!

Yeah, I wondered about that; why am I nobody?

@Condor5 because I want to remove all the specifics off the equation.

7

Compassion and empathy.

7

How they treat other people.

7

Common sense it's like a superpower nowadays

7

How witty they are in conversation. The good they do when they think no one is noticing

7

I'm impressed by people that recognize their faults and try fix them

6

Their personality and whether they are pleasant to be around or not.

I try to be a good caring person, but sometimes my mouth gets me in trouble

hahaha thanks for explaining yourself. our paths have crossed once. know this: it takes two sides to tango. I am also a tough adversary. lol pleasure to meet you this time around. 😉

@crazycurlz Well hello. You know you did make me laugh at myself.

6

Overcoming obstacles. Physical or mental

6

I'm impressed when I experience someone being truly themselves (in a good way) and not worry about perceptions.

powerful stuff, astral. probably a step up from my 'sincerity'. food for thought as I grow and change.

6

I'm impressed with people who consistently treat others with kindness and respect. If that element is missing, it's likely I will avoid contact with that person as much as possible. Degrees? My two best friends both have masters degrees, and I stopped at a bachelors. The respect among the 3 of us is mutual and sincere. Money, except for the struggle our children have earning enough for basic expenses, doesn't get into our conversations very much. Yes, we are professionals who got through college before it became such a financially difficult process and have earned a living wage. We do, therefore, speak from a position of privilege.

6

Empathy and honesty. These things are so rare. A reason I'm still single.

6

Two of the above plus intellect. The two are kindness and integrity.

6

Their level of composure in a difficult situation and level of compassion towards complete strangers.

6

Intelligence, sense of humor, creativity, and a moderate sense of humility.

6

Being genuine, real.
