Buddy Guy is my favorite and has a new album coming out next month. I am a huge fan of Chicago blues.

I love the Blues! I love SRV but Eric Clapton is a virtuoso. He can any genre. He sings and plays Blues like the old Black Blues masters.

Love Stevie Ray. Also Billy Gibbons, Jimi (obviously), Clapton, and lots of others.

WEll I am the elder here, I began playing blues guitar at 15 years old and now at 67 I indeed salute to Clapton, He truly invented the lead guitar solo as a piece of work,
Now interesting STevie RAy used heavy guage strings which those who play guitar, will rip your finger tips apart when bending. STevie has such a shuffle to his strum. There have been many great guitarist, look at Tommy Emanuel if you have not done so yet. But as the pioneer of the blues mainstream guitar sole, I take my hat off to Clapton.

SRV is great and in the same genre I like John Lee Hooker and BB King.

More sophistication in music it seems… Raised on ‘arena rock,’ that’s not been easy to find! What puzzles me is how turned off I get attempting to enjoy a live band, generally wanting to get home to some ‘real music.’

There’s a college station I’ll listen to (when bored with NPR) … I’ve no idea who’s playing what, but love how easy it is to get into to.. No particular artists, other than revisiting The Cars on youtube lately.. Seems music is what we’ve learned it to be
