Oh for goodness sake. The royal wedding is an excuse to celebrate. The Royal family has virtually no legal power but is the custodian for historical estates, decorum, tradition, fashion etc. It also brings in tourist dollars that infuse the economy. Can we not rejoice in the evolution of inclusiveness by a group that is steeped in tradition? This is not sport where people compete in an activity that is an outlet for the testosterone laden as opposed to warfare. Fashion is the decoration of the body. It is art for the body. The spectacle is some relief from school shootings, incompetent & corrupt governance, bigotry & other various retrograde behavior. Inclusiveness, the evolution of the species is to be celebrated. Rejoice. These new Royals are concerned with mental illness, poverty, conservation of species. These are to be applauded. Like it or not their influence is impactful & is soon to be their world as we baby boomers die out. We set the foundation for a better world. Permit them to realize it.
