Once again religion impedes scientific progress.

If you look closely this is changing.

As our technology and general intelligence rises the fear of technology within the new religious generation is stamped down into a comfort by applying the pressure of "God did 👩".

Progress in all it's forms is inevitable, but the real problem that will be a persistent barrier to advancement is the desire to hold moral authority over others.

No matter what labels apply to you, try and be comfortable destroying your belief in light of new evidence as that is reasonable.

Remember that there is no remission of sins without the shedding of blood. Jesus, that's over 2000 years old. Maybe older if you go back before Jesus in the Buybull. My plan is to haver old Charlie die for me. He doesn't like the idea but his family is helping me because I'm gonna pay them. They want the money.

Religious people tell me it's not possible for old Charlie to die for my sins. OK. What about Jesus dying for yours?

Actually, there used to be a practice called “sin eating” where the family of a dying person would pay someone else to ritually take on the sins of the dying person, often by consuming bread and/or alcohol that was placed on the body. This is known to have occurred as late as 1893 in England and into the twentieth century in continental Europe.
