Google. It's not all that and a bag of chips...
I used to love Google. Still use it for the search engine. It's great on searching images. It's other services, not as good, especially the Google Wallet.
Unfortunately, the Google Wallet is not my friend. This started about 3 years ago. A friend of my loaned me some cash to pay for my car repairs. Evidently, this flagged them because my address was different. Hence, I began to send documentation of my driver's license and credit card. I think I manage to last about three times each year before giving up the entire process.
This last time was last week. I decided, while out sick, I had to time "deal" with all this hot mess.
I texted first. Got a nice fella. He communication with the "specialists" who got my current driver's license and my current credit card. He then communicated to me the specialist declined to reopen my google account. Well, how about that? At least I got a decline this time around. Then, I went to the phone to find out why. Got declined again and got an e-mail saying Google had the right to deny me.
I tried to say but I haven't done anything. All I did was get some cash from a friend. It went through fine. Then all this started. One guy seemed to think I was a "fraudster", is that even a word? At any rate, I said no, I was just an older woman who was trying to get her account re-activated. All I had done was move from NC to Texas. I now all all proper documentation, and was simply told, no, not gonna happen.
Why? We don't need to tell you why. We have the right to refuse anyone.
WOW....just wow. How is this any way to run a company? I'm actually who I say I am. I'm a 63 year old retired teacher, and the answer is, no, it's simply not going to happen. Why? We don't need to tell you why. Really Google? Really?
So, I decided this was worthy of a post. Thoughts, comments, suggestions? I'm sure I've tried just about everything, I mean it is over a span of three years. For a while I kept all my emails, then decided last week when faced with this final verdict, to heck with them.
Problem is, my phone is Motorola based and uses Google as its default cell p hone browser. Anything you want to buy via the Google store you cannot because, well you aren't verified, and your account is closed.
I don't understand. All I did was move from NC to Texas. All I did was have a friend send me; money. I didn't do anything fraudulent.

Well, that sucks. And ya know, I kind of hate it that google has worked its way into so many aspects of the lives of so many people. And by the way, google used to be a much better search engine.
There was just an ad on tv for a story about Google on CBS's 60 Minutes. It sounded as though they're going to pretty well attack Google. You might enjoy that. (6)

Google and Facebook, along with a few others have some very strange ways about them. As for me, I've long used an abbreviation or similar thing for my online identity for very obvious reasons. I have found many times that my real name comes through with Google, especially if I have signed in using said name and then posted. This is not always true.
I Googled myself recently and found that Google says I am Michael Penn, Sean Penn's brother. They even have my picture there too. On one site I am known as Michael Penn but it is a shortening down of my own name. I do not know Sean Penn of his brother and I'm not trying to pose as either one of them. Google Analytics is not very smart.

I have been testing some of the others. Have tried using duck-duck-go. but it uses yahoo as the backend. yahoo's database is not as good for most of my searches.
The MS website support has always been worthless. Just like bing.

It no longer is a search engine.It is only a advert engine.
Google, MS, so on, no longer use the rules of using quotes, plus/minus signs, exact phrase,...
I have programs that are the same. Totally worthless when attempting to actually find what i am searching for. Very annoying.

I already set up a 2nd account. It won't work. The only reason I can think of it is tied to my cellphone somehow as it uses google as its search engine and app purchaser.
Google/Microsoft/Montsanto/Disney et al, all Giants who've outgrown their boots, forgotten their origins, and become oblivious to the little people! So they think it matters naught if, and when, they trample all over us. They just refer to their standard universal script and read off clause II, para.3, which says "the Corporation (hereafter refered to as the Company) can do whatever it frigging-well likes, and the Customers (hereinafter refered to as mugs) must go quietly to Hell, & stop being a nuisance, or risk being sued, and stop bad-mouthing the Company or be sued for libel, plus costs (est.$7.5m)!

The balance is what they gave me in 2016 for my "troubles" they credited a $10 to a google wallet account. And no I can't even get that to work on a purchase.
I assume you are on Android then? If so, you might want to check out an alternative app store called Aptoide, I like it better than Google PlayStore. It is unclear to me if you are in need of a different email account? If that be the case, I'd recommend ProtonMail, their basic service (which is all you really need) is free and it's a good email alternative. Where browsers are concerned, check out either the FireFox or Armorfly Browser apps and you could then select a different browser service like say Yahoo or DuckDuckGo. Hope that helps some, I had never used Google Wallet though, and in fact generally steer clear of their apps.

Screw Google. You can send and receive money through Facebook, PayPal, and most banks have electronic transfers now. You don't need Google.
