I have been using an old PC with Windows XP for years now and I was a happy camper until last week. It died on me. I am getting so freaking lazy that instead of fixing it, I went to Walmart and bought what I thought was going to be the best thing ever for only 400 bucks.....here is what I want to share with everyone. It runs on Windows 10 and the little problem with it is that Microsoft finally found the way to impose its will on Internet Explorer browser running Bing. It's slow and no surprise, I knew that. I went on trying to download Chrome but to no avail. I did a little research and as it turns out, Windows 10 does not support Chrome.... WTF??? The machine is great for playing DVDs so I'll keep it but damn !!!! Unless someone knows any trick on how to install Chrome on Windows 10 then I'll appreciate your comments. Thanks in advance..... long story short, Bing really really REALLY SUCKS !!!!!!!

I'm running Chrome on WIndows 10 on an Asus two-in-one. I never opened IE on this machine. Sometimes Edge sticks its head up out of its hole and I have to whack it. But this installation of WIndows 10 definitely allows chrome.

Thanks, I'll keep trying then...

@IamNobody speaking as an I.T. tech, Win10 will support Chrome. You can also disable the Bing search on Edge (the new version of IE).

@WhatsInAName ok, I'll keep digging into it. It not that I dislike Bing per say, it's just crawling as compared to my previous XP with Chrome. Just a simple music video in YouTube is excruciating !!

@IamNobody I'll be honest I HATE Edge

You probably have a bunch of add-ons running... not to mention I'll bet there's tons of stuff in your startup list that is messing with you

@WhatsInAName Thx, I'll figure this one out. I'll have to give it a rest until Friday though....

There really is no specific trick to installing Chrome on Windows 10, per se, this can usually be accomplished by typing google.com into the address bar, which normally offers you the option of installing Chrome. Alternately, you can go to google.com and type "download chrome" into the search box. It should be fairly easy to do. If this fails, please post the specific error message or notification here and I, or many others, may be able to offer you a solution to your specific issue.

Thanks, I've tried that already. Got to 10% progress and then stopped. It was passed midnight so I let it "run" overnight but to no avail.

I use chrome exclusively on this win10 computer.

Was it pre-installed? I have tried a lot of things because I am so frustrated with Bing but no luck yet. The info I found on line saying Chrome is not supported by Windows 10 may be bogus then....

@IamNobody yes it was preinstalled. but I have used chrome on winxp and win8 as well. why are you using Bing instead of Google? sounds like you have a lot of bloatware. never use bing.
