A Pastor and his 2 wives believe the Bible supports their relationship With 19 and 60 Year Old.
A perfect example of Cherry-picking the Bible.

It’s the hallmark of the faithful: resist thinking for yourself with the exception of finding biblical references to confirm what you want to be true.

Nothing new there - typical of the religious right. Pick what they like and toss the rest.

Interesting. One cannot be a judge of the life choices of free and consenting adults but using the bible or any other mythology-based book to justify it is irrational. On the other hand one can question if those individuals are actually free and consenting if their life is restricted within the confines of a certain religious cult.

Although polygamy isn’t for me, there’s nothing wrong with it IF everyone is of age and consenting.

I'm not put-off by people forming families of various structures freely and based on shared love and respect for one another. The hitch for me is that of the male automatically being considered 'head' of the family and/or imposing his will on it as though he has extra entitlement.

Polygamy, for example, as we know it is always a family headed by a male who 'possesses' numbers of wives and who determines how the family and household will function. This is already ass-backwards in conventional, monogamous families. So then it is expanded and repeated when female members are added? How and why? It seems far more natural for a family to have a female or females directing the family and a male (if polygamus) or more males (in the case of polyandry) subordinate to family and wives needs.

The creep in the picture ads nothing but infamy to family structuring that transcends the pathogenic paradigm by which societies comprise themselves.

Bravo. Well stated.

Actually the Bible does support polygamy. There are many characters in the Bible with more than one wife.

Exactly. Yet he's been indicted 52 times. He uses the Bible to justify his former life of being a criminal.

What I find interesting is that I know of no instances in the Bible where a woman has more than one husband. @CaroleKay

@nicknotes Yes, if sister wives are okay, then what about brother husbands? I could be down for that.

@Shelton Crap, if only. It's hard enough finding one. ?

@Shelton My neighbour did. They're all great friends!

@DeepSigh interesting. How about jealousy feelings?

All that proves is what a moral degenerate and charlatan that so-called pastor is.

Honestly, if no ones being coerced and they're happy with it I see no problem. I wouldn't have minded having a 2nd mom for my kids lol.

the 19 yo could easily be the 44 yo's daughter. Add their ages together and it almost equals his age.
The bible is the Swiss army knife solution to every kind of nut job. It can justify so many demented beliefs.

The bible is the big book of multiple choice.

Yeah, the math kind of blows my mind. Perfect analogy.

I have a 19 y/o Grandson, so it seriously creeps me out. Gross.
