I'm not sure...this is the first year l've been tending to it. Have only seen (heard) 1 hummer so far and it wasn't near this plant...l suppose time will tell!

@Free_2B_Me We don't have humming birds in Hawaii, I do miss them. All we have is a moth that looks like them.

@Krypto-Knight Wow...l would think Hawaii would have tons of hummingbirds...? And yes, we have hummingbird moths here too. I see them occasionally...have some old pics somewhere...

@Free_2B_Me Unfortunetly Humming Birds havn't been able to make the flight over and they have strict laws regarding new species being brout in. Early on the mongoose was introduced to reduce rat population, they brought the kind. They brought in mongoose that hunt during the day, rats being night scavengers, the two never incounter eachother. Now we have a mongoose problem so they don't allow what they invasive species. If I could smuggle in a breeding pair I would.

@Free_2B_Me it's really kinda annoying at this point. It started out exciting, there where the some incredible beauty awe struck times, but life has to go on. Now road blocks, roads gone, friends and neighbors left or leaving, worries about looters everytime I go some where, having to give ID to NationalGuard to get back home, stinking air in the mornings. The new is gone, now it's just blah and I'm ready for things to get back to normal.
