That's what I keep thinking: Why no one answers messages?

I think a lot of the members on this site like to wait and see the stuff you post and the conversations you join in before they are willing to get to know you privately. It is a very open site and joining groups that share your interests and getting to know people is a good way forward.

There could be a lot who have joined but no longer get online or on this forum. I always answer any messages, and have not had any of mine ignored.

I answer all my messages, otherwise it is just rude !

Are you messaging people with some commonality with you, or a specific reason or a question, inviting a reply? I know that I'd rather notice a person's interaction in discussions and get a sense about who they are by their posts, rather than a cold call message, but that's just me, and everyone is different.

Also, like someone mentioned, not everyone checks in every day nor has time to answer several messages from people they don't know or that don't seem to be going anywhere. It's great to reach out - but be patient if not every message gets an answer right away. In those cases, perhaps the person just didn't get the right vibe to elicit a reply or the timing wasn't right.

It's not just you. I sent a few messages the other day (I just joined). Not one reply. Hold your head high!

You have already earned website points from answering the profile questions, but you can earn more if you write an informational profile that lets members know more about you, since that's the first place many people look when they see a new member.

Then you make comments and write your own posts, and when you reach level two you can private email people.

To find members near you, click on the "Meet" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and fill our your preferred search parameters.
