Baked, caked, faked, raked... all pronounced one way. But switch the first letter to an N and it completely changes!

Baked, caked, naked, raked… all pronounced one way. But switch the first letter to an F and it completely changes!

I can't get away from the childish habit of pronouncing it nekkid. just can't seem to train myself away from it. tickles that inner immaturity I guess =D

Naked=Nude...Nekkid=Nude and up to something....Jeff Foxworthy

In Shakespearean speech those words are often pronounced as two syllables to make them better understood. Perhaps naked retains two syllables because it is such a charged word.
