There's a cereal. It was pretty inexpensive, sort of like Sugar Smacks but without the sugar. Sometimes I smell the same smell (not very often) and it takes me back to the cereal that I liked when I was a kid.

There is a weird smell in the air in Philly, kind of peppery, unfortunately from the chemical companies on the river. However, the smell brings me back to being a teenager.

Strawberries, my first love wore strawberry lipstick all the time.

The smell of a greenhouse. It reminds of visiting my grandparents in Scotland when I was a kid.

Certain pipe tobacco smells always remind me of my father's den, the only place he was allowed to smoke his pipe at home. It was also where i was allowed to pretend to play being a grown up. Chanel # 5 reminds me of my mother, and her chicken boiling, like in the chicken soup, still makes my mouth water, even after being a vegetarian for about 50 years. LOL

When I walk through a store that has a bicycle department and I can smell the rubber tires. (Trying to talk my parents into getting me a new bike. lol)

The smell of popcorn at the concession stand after a Little League game.

The smell of numerous plants while exploring the woods.

The smell of weed being smoked. (Do I really need to explain this one?)

The smell of rubbing alcohol reminds me of rotgut vodka.

My older brother had Brut and Hai Karate after shave. lol

Vegetation for me, mollasses grass, in fact most grasses. I am hyperthymesic, so can remember pretty much any time I have smelled a particular smell, heard a sound etc. Not as good as it sounds,

Old Spice, worn by the guy I first slow-danced with, age 12. No idea of his name or even face, but I can smell Old Spice and instantly go back...song was "Earth Angel".

The smell of blackcurrants will always remind me of sitting on the roof of the old stable at my grandfather's house, eating blackcurrants picked from the bushes in his garden. The smell of freshly-cut wood will always remind me of the stable itself, which had been used to store wood for so long that there was no smell of horses in there.

lightning bug smells remind me of catching lightning bugs as a child.

JP4 (jet fuel). Always brings back early morning in Vietnam.

Mint always triggers childhood memories of playing round the pond in our garden where the used bath water was collected, and used to water the garden.

sassafras, my dad found a piece of sassafras root in the ground at a house he was working on when I was very little. I was there with him that day for some reason and he let me smell it and gave it to me and I thought it was really special.

Geraniums. I am instantly transported back to the greenhouse my grandmother worked in when I was a little kid. I was just tall enough that the pots of geraniums were at nose level and the greenhouse was filled with table after table of geraniums.
