"The Last Picture" movie, with Dennis Hopper filmed in Mexico so they could kill a bunch of sheep for effect. What used to go on is now much less gratuitous tho so unnecessary.

I cut my hair short, boyishly short (per cutiebeauty), & am always relieved when the attention ceased. Short hair permitted me to hold down a job without gratuitous male attention. I grow my hair long because I am too frugal to pay for its constant maintenance.

I too had a nemesis politically that always made sure things ran smoothly for me in my employment past. He was an angry, resentful turd, but when it came to me & the respect he had for my work ethic, he came through. I had a few "old timers" that resented women "taking their jobs & reducing the status of a man's job", but winning over veterans of real wars by not playing the menstrual card in order to get out of a rough assignment, went a long way in acquiring their respect. Many who can not endure the physical strain become low level managers in order to escape the challenges the job requires. This is not attained by merit. It is attained by the local Postmasters discretion. It is a great job if one can survive to collect the benefits entirely deserved by those who do the work.

I dislike when words are used incorrectly but a living language is fluid so I must learn to be tolerant." Chauvinist" is one I particularly am annoyed by its misuse. It means a blind allegiance. It does not mean "a man who suppresses women". Years ago the misuse of "prejudice" irked me. It means to" judge prior to evidence". It does not mean "one who dislikes black folks". Now African American is used incorrectly. One can not tell if one is American by looking at them. Not all folks of African descent are American. I also am irritated when "white " is used to describe Euros but "yellow" is not used to describe Asians. But then I am an irritated person so social isolation is my natural tendency. " Illegal alien" does not mean Hispanic or Mexican. Now the words "lavender" "peony" or "violet" almost sound lyrical. "Lyrical". That is pleasant also. I too HATE the word "panties". It is "underwear" because one wears it under.

The tears will become less over time., as your brain processes the void, the absence and heals. Make a gesture in homage to your loved one. A donation, volunteer somewhere, in his name. Just roll with it & let the pain work its way thru your life. It is a fire you must walk thru. There is a place on the other side. The tears will be less tho the pain the same. A counselor if you find it necessary. There are online sites that can help. I used them to reevaluate my view of death. There is help. Even in Idaho. Heal soon.

I almost fell off of a roof,. 3rd story. I have been attacked by men with killing tools. I had pneumonia & beat it myself like a stupid virus denier. Jumped out of a car going 30 miles an hour to escape a family member. The coup de gras.......... 2 asthma attacks resulting in pulmonary failure & 7 days in ICU. A different doctor put me on ADVAIR (bought the practice) & now the FDA advises NOT to use it for asthmatics. Malpractice suit? No. Different doctor? Yes.

Same as always. I never leave my property as I have a "servant" who permits me this isolation. Cleaning my bird feeders & houses, cutting down dead sumac, & sorting the deceased spouses mass of books, video games & CDs. which are stacking up in the garage awaiting Goodwill & Books for Africa. The roads around the house are far more quiet, somewhat resembling when I moved here, prior to the 30% increase in population noise that I am trying to escape. Nature fights back.

Gives me joy as well. Just spectacular. I have plants that are 40 years old & I don't know what to do with them when I move as they are massive. Yucca, dracina reflexa, & my elephant foot or ponytail was a 3 inch plant when I bought it & now it is 8 feet tall, the base is 16 inches across. I have way too many plants but less than before.
