Holographic tv could make a perfect mate. Soon technologies will allow for us to have holograms in our homes. Creating a perfect partner won't be far behind that. I have heard a lot of people fantasize about their perfect mate mostly women men do it on occasion. Would this make you happy?

Virtual reality is already here, just expensive, and is being developed mostly for porn. It’s a set of goggles that put you in a new setting. You can never beat the real thing, but not everyone has an available partner.

Was think of more of social interaction aspect.

Im sure they are working on that. Talk and request. @azzow2

That's going to be interesting. I want be able to afford it anyway...lol. New medicine cost the most untill theres a genetic. The cheap version of a new type of TV would help out a lot.

Can't have real sex with a hologram.

Something about the visual stimulation. loses in all the other sensory input departments.

What happens if she glitches and fries?

That's a big leap from a hologram...

Nope, I want the real thing, baby!

Something about squishing skin makes all the difference.

@azzow2 Sure does!

I think it would present a problem similar to the current problem of easy access to salt, sugar and fat for a species that evolved under scarcity of those nutrients. We would find it nearly impossible to resist, and would over-indulge our appetite. The correction would be to program in some imperfections, at which point they would lose any advantage they might have had over reality. Catch 22.

If it passes the Turing test it might keep me entertained, but I don't see myself being fulfilled.

Or even partially filled, it is, after all, just a hologram. πŸ˜›

Whenever I hear people talking about AI and sex dolls coming together to make sex robots, I roll my eyes and think, "Women have always had sex robots. They run on double A batteries." @JeffMurray

Not really. "Ain't nothin like the real thing."(Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell).

I couldn't agree more!
