Do you "collect" anything? What is it, and do you display your collection?

Star Wars memorabilia, mostly the vintage toys or anything Darth Vader related. It's all scattered about my spare room right now, trying to find the time to rearrange everything into some semblance of order.

MONEY!!!! Just kidding. Well, I actually do have a decent little collection of coins from various parts of the world, my favorites being an old 2 shilling piece and a modern coin from New Zealand that features an image of a face with traditional indigenous tattoo designs.

I collect Living Dead dolls, dragonware and rock/crystal skulls. I also have a small collection of gargoyles.

Physical things, I collect antique drinking glasses, hand made. Haven't had the money to do that much in recent years, but I like what I have. They are on display. Also quite a lot of coins, many very old. Don't add to that now. Some might be valuable, but I haven't looked at them for years. I collect a lot digital content now, on people I like, including photos, archive material and movies and TV. I'm quite assiduous on some people I especially like. Also books.

I have a nice collection of Day of the Dead items, as well as hippos......yeah, two very different things, but I love 'em! I display both but in different areas of my home. DOTD is a bit more personal, so I have those things in my bedroom/master bath. Hippos are in the guest bedroom.

Dragons...displayed on a shelf in the office in my house. Mostly ceramic, mostly all insense burning (the smoke out of the nose effect), one oil burning one with flame out of the mouth...and you?

I downsized to minimalism a couple years back but I do collect cheap spiral notebooks for journalling. Can't get enough of paper. Used to have a collection of rice paper from the local art supply. Oh, I do have a collection of my son's children's books, my go-to books, these are in boxes at the moment. And, my artwork kept in a portfolio. Apparently, it's back to the old drawing board with minimalism...

Pens and headphones. No, I don't display them. Lol.

Records and they are on full display in my living room. I also collect dog fur, as in the shedded dog fur from my lab and pug

I used to collect stamps. Well, I say that, but I was actually just given a bag of stamps as a kid and given a suggestion by my mother to start collecting. I never added a single new stamp.

Shot glasses. Only a portion of the collection is on display at any given time.

On my lazy days, I am known to collect dust. It is really easy to do if you can remain still for long periods of time. 🙂

Yes. I have a collection of teacups; were bought in the places I visited and the only rule is that they must be made in England. My second collection is made of about 700 magnets; they represent every item in a household and also were bought in places I visited. I display both collections

I seem to collect musical instruments. I'm slightly embarrassed about it so I don't really display them as such but I do have a music room where I practice and we play in there when mates come around.
I play a few different instruments but I seem to have multiples 2 flutes, 2 banjos 3 ukulele, 3 concertinas, 2 fiddles, 4 melodeons, assorted whistles....
And that's not even a complete list.... 🙂 it's a relatively harmless symptom of my bipolar disorder

I collect images of funny animals. I love animals and when they're being or doing something that brings a smile to my face, I have to catch it. I don’t really post it anywhere, I just keep them in a personal folder and send them around to friends from time to time.

I also collect images of all the way sports look so gay... funny pictures where you can’t help but wonder how athletes can be so homophobic with pictures like this. Those pictures I post on Pinterest under Sports are so Gay.

And music. I LOVE music. But not just the artist, I love the song. I love when others cover a song or a song gets remixed or even parodied. Depending on the song, I can listen to the same song by different people for hours before I run out. I have seven versions of Donna Summer singing I Feel Love. Another four versions of other people doing the same song. I have about twenty versions of Dancing Queen sung by all kinds of people. Disney is constantly redoing their older music using their newer artists, and some of those versions are spectacular. I have Selena Gomez singing Trust in Me from the Jungle Book. It’s brilliant. Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah from everyone from Usher to Ric Ocasek. I have all of Beethoven’s works, most of Mozart, and lots of Bach... I have to keep my music on a separate hard drive because there’s so much of it.
