The wood chips we generated at a timber framing company I used to work for in Montana was given to the county to compost all the road killed animals they collected.

Montana seems to have pretty open laws regarding human burial. A friend who died several years ago was simply wrapped in a shroud and lowered into the ground on his skis. The state only needed to know the location of the grave site.

Of course there will have to be some rules.
Like no plastic or stickers.
Most important No politicians! Must keep it organic.

Reminds me of a John Prine song
" please don't bury me in that cold cold ground
I'd rather have them cut me up and pass me all around.
Throw my brain in a huricaine,
give my eyes to the blind,
give the deaf both of my ears if they don't mind the size...."

That’s AWESOME. That is what I want done with my body - after they give away all the useful stuff anyway 😂

sounds like progress

Too bad trump doesn't live there. Shit flows from his mouth like water from a stream.

Sounds interesting, now the other 49 states need to get on board.

I'm all for it. As I wrote some years ago, in the second verse of the poem I want for my obituary:-
No mausoleum, no funeral pyre,
Just lay me in the earth.
Let my body restore a part of what
It has plundered since its birth.

very clever. Giving back would be a good slogan

I think I will have a death limerick instead ...

jeff is this dude who has died
his mind was most usually fried
and following this service
no need to be nervous
there's WEED for all those who have cried!!

Hope the smell is tolerable

It is odourless once complete.

@Petter But that's the thing. It takes a while before it's complete.
i live 3 miles from one of Chicago's shit pits (as we call it). Hot Summer days are murder!

Going to take a bit of getting used to I think. I do like Jay Inslee for President though. Climate first.
