How are we a Christian nation? No mention of Christ, god, Christian, or bible mentioned in the Constitution.The authority of our Constitution is โWe the Peopleโ.
Yes, and Thomas Jefferson wouldn't even stand a chance of being elected today
@gsiamne Your right, sad!
There are alot of laws in the old testamount. If they conflict with Texan culture and way of life then even the devout christians may not take kindly to this.
More to the point what about the ones that conflict with Jesus' teachings. Like to see them fix that one.
I think that Trump is playing their game to achieve power, but really they are the ones who are gaining power.
Although many would believe these guys have no chance. They are strong political vectors*. If left unchecked their influence will affect your lives. Just look at the anti-abortion laws already enacted in Alabama and Georgia.
*Mansplain, A political vector is rather like those maths problems you used to get. ie. "A boat heading North at 5mph across a 1-mile wide river that has east to the west current of 3mph and a wind that is blowing SE at 3mph. How far east of the perpendicular will it land and how long will it take?"
I think the people in charge of these religious groups don't really believe what they spout out, but are just in it for the money and power. I don't think people who actually belive the kind of stuff they spout would not be smart enough to get the kind of traction they get.
Strengthen the wall of separation between church and state!
