I find Facebook to be no worse than any of the rest. Google, for example, says that if you click on their stuff and use it that you are agreeing with everything that they do. This is like saying that you have no say so in the matter at all. Vast changes are coming about now based on algorithm. This is very hard to understand but can be seen in the last few months if you watch your site pages well.
The bottom line is that neither Zuckerberg nor anyone else built a social media site for you to be a part of for free. That means that their business is marketing by way of informational use.
