Top state officials pegged her as Governor Material, I agreed … but she was ‘happy at home, raising her daughter.’ I got that, while doing the same with mine

But, as she served … many local Dems fell off supporting her, felt like the ‘Obama Syndrome,’ before Obama.. Purists Dems, not having the intelligence, political savvy or integrity to realize, always outnumbered, her every vote was not going to please them. They’d attack. Me? - back again - for every campaign (eventually paid) - with our growing girls ~

Well, my point is being flushed out here, right in front of me. There's enthusiasm for Bernie that doesn't exist for Biden. Bernie would have made a great President, but he dropped out, that decision is now decided, and we have a choice, Biden or Trump. Is the election over for those who wanted Bernie? Will Sanders's supporters stay home? I'm worried about the apathy I saw in the 2016 election. Will that happen again, leaving us dealing with Trump for a devastating four more years?

As I like to say, George W. won the second election. He was “anointed“ president the first time. He won only once.

But, yes, I remember feeling shocked, numb, and blown away all at once when he pulled off “re-election.”
