LINK When You Take the Bible Literally, This is One of the More Disturbing Passages | Hemant Mehta | Friendly Atheist | Patheos

If you were to act out a Bible passage literally, there’s no better place to start than 2 Kings 2:23–24, the passages that involve two bears slaughtering a group of children because they made fun of the prophet Elisha’s bald head.

So the folks at Literally the Bible did just that. (Their version involves sock puppets and a lot of fake blood.)

"Nice work Jesus" ?.

Yeah given that's in the old testament pinning it on Jesus is a stretch. Then again the whole holy Trinity thing means god is jesus is holy spirit so totally Jesus is to blame... Or the Holy Trinity is a crock as is the Bible period.

This is all so ignorant. A lesson at the expense of children showing what happens when you do not believe and take prophets seriously. Strange that so many believe it.

fwiw its actually sublime, and timeless, when read in the correct symbolism
