A very interesting film was shown on PBS Nova series titled "Natures Fear Factor."

We tend to forget we are animals and atheists should realize this whereas religious think we are something 'holy' and special. We are governed by the same rules that other animals are and when predators are removed from the scene animals lose their fear. During the whole film I was thinking how this applies to us as we forget things like communicable diseases are a form of predators. When they are absent (like such things as Smallpox) we forget their presence and power and get into denial. Unfortunately, too many of us refuse to learn from other peoples problems and think it won't happen to us. It will, it has and it is doing so right now. Don't be one of those people in denial.

This before we, as a country, threw off the shackles of our imperialist masters by washing our hands of them with thier own blood.

Oh, it wasn't? Nevermind.

Yes I have seen this photo before, it has, I think, been widely circulated. Though not I am sure among the anti-mask anti-vax etc community. Two nations in one ?

I think they had folks back then that also thought masks did not work or refused to wear them. There were not as many as today and it certainly was not as political.
Around here at the grocery store you know who is a trumpster - no mask - even tho there is a state mandate to wear a mask in public when inside or you can't be over 6 feet away from others.

They may not live to receive the vaccine. They're probably antivaxxers anyway.
