LINK Appeals Court: Boston Does Not Have to Allow a Christian Flag Outside City Hall | Hemant Mehta | Friendly Atheist | Patheos

The First Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the city of Boston was within its rights to reject the flying of a Christian flag outside City Hall Plaza.

Some background: Harold Shurtleff is the director and co-founder of Camp Constitution, a non-profit group that promotes the idea that we live in a “Christian nation.” (He’s wrong.) In 2017, Shurtleff applied for a permit to raise a Christian flag on a pole outside City Hall Plaza to commemorate “Constitution Day and Citizenship Day”… but the city of Boston rejected the request.

We’re not a Christian Nation just because a lot of them live here.

A lot of assholes live here, but are we called “The asshole nation”?

I'm glad they ruled against him. It's a combination of thinking your are right and wanting to get some headlines.

Suggestion for Shurtleff, SHOVE your Chrustian Flags as far, deeply and firmly UP your arse as possible then try even harder after doing that.

If the judge would have aloud it, the FFRF would have sued in court.

OR ... The Satanic Temple folks would have sued to allow a “Satanic” flag in the name of equal access, predictably provoking the christians to back off.

These religutards need to be slapped down at every turn.
These are the same people who think their god wants them to take over the government.
They are every bit as bad as every other religious extremist.

And, imo, regularly with either a very wet, rotting fish or a piece of 4x2 timber at the very least.

Id love to feed them Ex-lax.

Harold Shurtleff is a religious fundamentalist. It's time he got his head out of his ass.

Probably an impossibility since it has been wedged there for so long that the tissues have joined together completely by now.

Maybe that's a step tords this countries path to enlightenment.

Imo, one very small tottering baby step at the very least.
