I responded to a post today about xtians being persecuted and said it was actually spelled prosecuted. That posting was in jest, but, as you can see, only partially

What's a surprise is how stupid the followers of this pastor are and all the others like him.
It's hard to know if the percentage of people using or involved with child porn is greater among the religious than the none religious but it would be an interesting study - imo. The media of course plays it in a way as more shocking.
Just glad the scum bag was caught.

Pedophiles are predators and like every predator they hunt where there are plently of prey. What better hunting groumd than the church where there are built in camoflage, control and protection factors. Hence, greater numbers of pedophiles amongst the clergy than the general population.

@OldMetalHead When I volunteered on a phone line for not quite crisis, except when we (partially trained) became Crisis Intervention for the 4 hours per night they weren't available in the 90s, we handled numerous anonymous calls. One call involved a guy complaining that he was arrested for sexually abusing his daughter and he didn't understand why - grandpa and pop's had done the same.
