These people are not afraid to die. Anyone with lifelong experience in evangelical Christian nationalism culture/movement for the last 50 years: is keenly aware that they have been sending their children to religious camps and events that encourage a normalization of apocalyptic violence.

When will people accept that the Christian nationalist movement is a secessionist movement.... They believe that they are divinely ordained to be politically, economically and socially dominant.

If they cannot infiltrate and control the existing mechanisms of society... They will not allow a scenario for those systems to succeed outside of their narrative.

@domos I most definitely DO NOT underestimate them...the group at the center of this discussion is the exception rather than the rule. They are being watched very closely and will only be allowed to go just so far. The biggest threat at this time is the top HEAVY Conservative SCOTUS. That can be readily fixed but it means loading the Court. That is EXACTLY what McConnell did with Merrick Garland when he blocked Obama and stuffed to conservative Judges down our throat. Time to flip it. Our biggest challenge is coming at us fast...midterms and then 2024...Biden needs to end the FUCKING Filibuster once and for all and the Democrats need to flip more Congressional and Senate seats...we need 60 votes in the Senate so we can straighten out all the damage that McConnell and Trump did...jmho

The most immediate threat facing us is not that... Our greatest threat right now is the ongoing and massive disinformation campaign meant to undermine The politically effective unity that has crossed many racial, religious, ethnic and some class boundaries.

As we speak right now, strategic political demographics are being bombarded with engineered misinformation campaigns. Meant to promote racialized and classist perceptions via model minority myths.

The religious network of the evangelical community is a primary vector for these campaigns.

Ending the filibuster is a double-edged sword but given the historically poor ground game of the political center and the state repression of the political left... Ending the filibusters the only practical option despite its risks.

I would argue that a more effective approach would be to end religious tax exemption and reinforce separation of church and state via regulating away unmonitored government funds into religious organizations and activities.

I would explicitly want to point out the need to outright ban the use of data gathered by software used in religious organizations by commercial agencies in a non-publicly documented way.

@CuddyCruiser Some social programs are fine. Hell a lot of highway work is done by private contractors. There are a lot of private schools and the education in them is often superior to public schools. We don’t need bigger government and more regulations than we already have.
