He doesn't understand that sometime way back in our evolution, when reproduction took less than a year after birth, but more likely much sooner, that homosexuality was advantageous. If there was famine, the stress hormones would flip meta-genetic swtiches that made offspring homosexual to slow down reproduction of the species so that there woudl be enough food.
Note: The above is a theory based on the fact that women under stress in the second trimester are more likely to have gay children. The theory is still being explored and tested.
Ahyway, the point is that there is more than one theory that supports homosexuality as beign a beneficial adaptation for species survival... and the hate preacher is an idiot.

I wonder what he thinks about the animals that can change their own sex and the other animals that make babies without sex. If he can't understand how homosexuality fits with evolution then nature's many different flavours of procreation will floor him.

This is an old argument that has been explained. That some hyper ignorant nut job wants to resurrect it is frustrating. They should research the topic - both evolution and homosexuality - before commenting.

Religious zealots do research beyond rearranging their favorite Bible verses? You have to be joking! 
Like those who say, homosexuality isn't natural. They need to watch nature more. Giraffes, especially males, have a lot of sex, mostly with other males.
