McCarthy will need to be one of the witnesses to testify under oath before the commission. He had direct contact with trump during the insurrection and has already revealed at least part of the conversation. The guy is a weasel as you said now trying to back track on what trump told him on the phone. I've seen him in other interviews sidestepping the issue of his phone call with trump.

By sidestepping he's proving that it happened. A nondenial denial like Woodward and Bernstein spoke about almost 50 years ago.
