@Druvius Reading this, you seem to think Vladimir Putin is the voice of reason. You don't seem to realize that he's a mad man. I do.

Russia is not afraid of anything, the fear is Putin's who feared recently that his hold on power was slipping slightly, and when there are political and economic problems at home, that is the time to start an overseas distraction, and shift the blame onto foreigners. Keep everyone thinking that the threat comes from outside, and they won't realize that the real threat is you.

Well said!

When Russian missiles are deployed to Sth American countries, perhaps some understanding will come. Perhaps not.

Russia is afraid their quest for regaining territory will be foiled by NATO. I fear Putin is going to advance into Ukraine but he will probably wait until the spring rains are over so his tanks won't get stuck. Then again he may try to do it before the rains come.

What territory? Russia will defend the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic if Ukraine is so foolish as to pull a Saakashvili, but they have no claims anywhere else.

@Druvius Mikheil Saakashvili is a freedom fighter and brave man.

@Druvius Putin wants all of the Soviet Union back and Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union before the fall.
