I was happy but my wife too often wanted me to read her mind — a skill my mother had not required me to learn.

In counseling before we divorced, my wife said I hadn’t responded when she wanted sex. Amazed, I asked “When did you say you wanted it?”

My ex husband was happily married for almost 25 years. He was shocked when I filed for divorce. He chose not to see my unhappiness.
