It's funny, but it kind of explains why the idea of atheist churches would never work...
There are Sunday Assemblies and other gatherings for humanists, atheists, agnostics and they have uplifing and inspiring speakers and music, certainly not like what this fellow is playing as if there is "nothing" to believe in. How about hope in humanity and our ability to solve the worlds problems with our intellect, scientific studies, reasoning skills and compassion? To me, this kind of thing makes fun of atheists, rather than lifting us up.
Yeah; it sounds like a youth minister spoofing atheism to the Christian boys and girls.
Very clever and funny. It also pretty well explains why Unitarian churches exist, namely, that it gives non-believers a place to go, where they can enjoy music, community, intellectual stimulation, some relief from right wing politics, and their kids can make some friends who are fellow non-believers, while also getting some good education about liberal religion and other world religions..
