SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. — A South Carolina man has been arrested for allegedly sending an obscene image to a minor, according to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.

Maxwell Navar Bohn II, 77, is charged with disseminating obscene material to a person under the age of 18.

The victim's father contacted law enforcement saying his daughter, who is in a youth group at a local church, said a deacon sent a nude photo to her mobile phone, according to officials.

Officials say law enforcement was able to identify Bohn as the subject who sent the photograph to the victim.

He has been released on a personal recognizance bond of $10,000.
