Mai lai & other Vietnamese atrocities by USA military were war crimes not genocide. Neither the Hamburg fire bombings by the USAF nor the nuked Japanese cities of Hiroshima & Nagasaki were televised but yes they were genocidal war crimes committed by USA.
So what genocide do you believe was the first to be televised?
