Why is the 2nd the brightest star in here?

I wonder why the stars on this rating scale here get darker?

I suspect pure randomness has a part to play - and that the order of colours was not considered greatly important when they were chosen

Oh ... I didn't present it as a problem. I was merely intrigued by the sequence ot the colours in regard to the hierarchy of the stars.

@PontifexMarximus oky doky, thanks for the clarification. It really looks like a complaint and I was trying to put myself on Admin shoes and wonder if he was rolling his eyes

Actually there is a hidden message: the cycle starts again because at 10 the number turns yellow so that means the star remains black while the number fades into it to become, after 10 more steps a fully DARK STAR...... A BLACK HOLE!!! woooooooo!

Well...very good question, that has never crossed my mind! Maybe it indicates that there is so much information gleaned about us as we moved up the ladder...so now ‘they’ are deep in our mind (the powers that run this show)!
