Cat reunited with family after going missing for 475 days
I have a story kind of like that. For 10 or 12 years, I had a cat named Mooch, who had been semi-feral and moved in with me and my wife. In 2017, Mooch went out for his morning bathroom visit. He wouldn't use a littler box, he preferred outdoors, which he as used to. When I called him for breakfast, he didn't come in, I spent the whole day calling him, but he was gone. I never gave up hope, though. exactly two months (60 days) after he disappeared, he showed up again. He had lost half of his body weight, and has some new scars, but he was back home. I don't have any way to prove this, but I'm just about positive that somebody grabbed him and took him miles away from town and turned him loose. If i ever find out who did that, I will kill them. Mooch found his way home, but it took him a couple of months. Unfortunately, while he as gone, he picked up FIV, and died about a year later. Even though I have a couple more cats now, I still miss the Mooch. He was a great cat.
Growing up we had a male cat, Tommy, who wasn't fixed an dhe'd disappear for a couple of weeks at a time.
He had a habit of going into other people's houses and making himself at home. Our next door neighbors found him stretched out and sleeping on their bed. Other neighbors chased him out. He bot Feline leukemia whiel out on his adventures. He was a yellow tabby.

Posted by LaurenI thought this was an accurate representation of how we feel every time we remember our last cat, which happens often when my daughter and I laugh over our current cat's antics.
