penny, still with us at age 16 and a half, with two daughters, layla, who looks like her except for the white underside and paws, and robin, the black and white one. layla hit her head on the bed frame, had seizures and died within 48 hours. robin died of breast cancer. i miss them. penny has tumors, herself, but no way am i going to subject a cat her age to surgery. she is fine for the moment and she may outlast me! they were very close. i still have five, including penny, all old now, and one young dog.

Awww........so sorry to hear that. We had two Himalayans (sisters) and one made it to just shy of 20 and the other one is still kicking....I can tell she is definitely declining but not in any pain and still loves to cuddle and love on me. Just enjoy her company for whatever time she has left...
every day, as if it's the last. i love my babies! the others not pictured are penny's husband (not kidding!) tevye (pictured elsewhere), his sister golde, and tev and pen's surviving daughters wendy and kuma.

Posted by LaurenI thought this was an accurate representation of how we feel every time we remember our last cat, which happens often when my daughter and I laugh over our current cat's antics.
