Although this is funny, I had a cat that had swallowed yarn that got stuck in her intestines. Surgery was required. This was before she became my kitty. Supposedly they also spayed her while she was at the Vet. Well, as I was rushing to get to work one morning, she was giving birth in my closet. I had to miss the miracle of birth to avoid an Article 15. Still pisses me off, the Army not the cat.
Oh my gosh yes, I've got to make sure the floss is safely thrown away in the covered waste basket. No ribbons, no Easter grass, no tinsel. Little brats get it in their mouths and that tongue makes it hard to get out.
Oh Yes! I know all about that! It was a silly joke, but I thought people here would know that cats can't be trusted around this sort of thing. (Or dogs!)
@Hathacat My dog used to eat all sorts of stuff that shouldn't have been eaten. I learned real quick to keep hydrogen peroxide on hand. The meme is cute, adorable in fact, it just triggered memories of the cat I had in Okinawa. Wow, that was such a long time ago.
And there was the Christmas my brother told me about flossing his cat with tinsel - from the wrong end! Yup I explained the inherent dangers of it not passing and no tinsel the following year!
