My sister was recently reorganizing the furniture in the guest bedroom ... and found where her cats stash their toys. Feel free to share pictures of your discovered cat stashes.

I can't take a photo of my cat's stash spot. My cat, Zippy, has torn open the bottom of my box spring covering to climb up into the box springs and hide his watches. Zippy has 19 watches hidden in the box spring of my bed. I gave him 20 watches for him to play with. They were just costume junk from eBay batches. There is only one watch left in his bag. Funny thing is that it is the only watch that actually worked. Figure that out.

My cats like to shove their toys under heavy furniture that I rarely move. Every few years, I move a large piece of furniture and find a dozen tinsel balls. They cats push their toys out of reach, then bellyache that they can't get their toys back.

Haven't you figured it out? Your cats are playing fetch with you. They push their toys under heavy furniture and you're supposed to fetch it back out for them. 😉

Not the cat but years ago my father couldn't find his dentures. Weeks went by & he finally got his new ones. When we moved he finally found them. His very special dog had them stashed with a collection of other missing things in her nest under his bed.

I love moving furniture to find catnip mice and invented toys by cats

All the time. There are so many hair tiebacks beneath my bed they should be lifting the mattress by now....

Also couch.

Annie loves ponytail holders. I think they have good "mouth feel."

@AmiSue lol

I think if I moved my nightstand it would look like that, plus I'm missing several lip balm tubes. I found one of the cats playing with a similar tube on the stairs.... I think under the bed, and under the sofa will look the same. The same cat knocks dry cat food around for hours, and I think a cup or two may be underneath the stove and fridge by now.

If you decide to check any of those spots, take pictures.

I had a torti years ago that would line all her toys up along a wall in the hallway, when she was done playing she'd put them back - if she lost one under furniture she'd bug the crap out of you until you rescued it for her. I've never seen another cat do anything like that.

She could obviously count!

@RavenCT I'm not sure she was quite that smart, she wouldn't make a fuss if one went missing (as long as she didn't see me take it!). She was pretty sharp though, she could figure out how to get into just about anything she wanted to, including child-proof cabinet latches

@Johnsalterego My friends cat figured out the laundry chute could get him to the basement. Took them a few days to figure out he was going "Whoosh" though.

This is hilarious!

@kmdskit3 Also the chute is part of a cabinet in the bath. I never knew it was there.
However the cat? Found and opened it.

@RavenCT Probably smelled something interesting and had to find out what it was?

My cat, Annie, likes to wedge her toy mice underneath the linen closet door. Fortunately, this makes her stash easy to get to.
