It is an un-thoughtful statement.
What education? College education, self education with reading and observation? Intellectual ability to think and process issues? If she is referring to college education, both have degrees from Ivy Leagues.
The word, "intellect" would be more appropriate here. I have 3 masters and 2 professional certifications but I have met many people with little or no college education who were smarter and more successful than me in the real world. I learned a lot from them.
Education as in "College Education" is overrated. The model of a teacher standing in front of a bunch of students has not changed for thousands of years and today's college student ends up with a student loan and a degree that cannot get him a job. So intellect, yes... education... no.
