They look so good you could eat them. Over half an inch of rain, how I wish, we are almost into an unseasonal drought here in my part of the UK.

I planted aspearagras roots a week and a half back . First little stalk standing proud today . Broke it off and ate it , then watered the whole lot and added a couple of left over strawberry roots .

Thanks for the reminder. I need to harvest my crop. What we don't often see here are the white varieties. These are cultivated in Asia and Germany where the plants are covered in dirt and blanched. Gives a superior taste and texture.
