Grown under the cover of some row cover to protect it from the frost that is still a regular threat until the end of May, sweet asparagus spears plucked fresh from the garden and made into a cheese and asparagus omelette.

There is a little tail on your omelette

I thought that it was defecating on the plate!

@FrayedBear Green shit?

I had planned to take a shot of the omelette cut open but I ate the whole thing before I remembered to take another pic.

@Surfpirate I know the problem. Stomach talking! 😁

@Surfpirate lol
I so know the feeling. Usually I remember to take a pic once I am half way thru the dish. By then it is ugly

That looks good enough to eat!

That omlette sound tasty. I never appreciated asperagus until I was an adult. Now, I like the cooked or raw. Yum! I'm going to have to try them in an omlette.

I always snap off a spear or two in the morning when it is still cool and crisp, something to nibble on while I select which spears to cut and which spears to leave for another day.

Those are the greatest!

That looks delicious! We used to have white asparagus wrapped in slices of Canadian bacon, topped with a Benedict sauce. My mother was a wonderful cook. I also like asparagus soup.

I don't think that you are too bad either!

@FrayedBear Thank you! I have been known to fail spectacularly!

@Spinliesel We've all done that! It's called learning. 😁
