I love my Alaskan Iris... all of my Iris came from 4 plants that we bought at a garden show in 2005

I had some of those. Had no idea what they were called.
They are beautiful.

I love the mass planting!

Wow. They have been prolific over the last 15 years. Beautiful flowers. Are the the same as the Siberian Iris? They appear to be similar, but then lots of the varieties of iris can look very much the same.

@FrostyJim - Thanks. I've heard of this variety but have never seen them for sale. Looking at your link, it would need a cold winter but says it should grow in zone 8 (where I live in Texas), but maybe not. I tried to collect different varieties if iris at one time, but settled on the standard bearded iris 9ver time. Yours are very pretty.

They're beautiful! I'd not heard of Alaskan Iris but they seem a bit like my Japanese Iris? They're obviously happy with you.

The Japaness iris are awesome.

@freeofgod I agree. 🙂

Beautiful! I really never associated Alaska with flowers. Maybe one day post covid I will be able to really visit and check out all the neat stuff. I was in Anchorage airport in 1977 enroute to Okinawa. It was also the middle of the night. I don't regard that as a visit to the state.
