I planted a dozen plants that I picked up on sale a few years back, I am down to just two now. The winters are hard on them here in Canada.

What do you use it for?

It's a classic Scent; It can be used directly (in a cloth sac, called a "sachet" ) or ground up, mixed with lotions to make a nicer smelling substance.

@Robecology It is supposed to aid sleep. I have a lavender sachet on the side of my bed by the pillow. It is actually a furry bear stuffed with lavender. When I remember, it is given a generous dose of lavender oil to refresh the scent.

I use the flowers in dishes for the table. They add a nice touch to meat and rice dishes. I put a fresh jar of dried leaf and flower on my herb and spice shelf. The 1/2 gallon jar in center shelf that is half full of lavender.

No, it has plenty of new green leafy shoots showing up. It had a fungus infection from spittle bugs. In fact the large one pictured was cut way back 4 years ago.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
