Here in Florida, I have a small winter garden including green beans, lettuce, and 5 tomato plants. The first tomato blossoms have set on! Hope to have enough tomatoes for BLTs, other sandwiches, salads, and some spaghetti sauce for my wife and myself. There will probably be a few extras to share with neighbors.
I had a 'salad garden' this year, and it was SO great to have all that right at hand. Maybe, someday, I will manage to have a greenhouse here? Meanwhile, we're having an early cold snap now at 36', headed down to a morning low of 29'!
This is one of the best things about living in a warm climate, you get to grow stuff almost year round!!

Posted by KateOahuThis morning I went to a class for making a terrarium with native plants at the Waikiki Community Center, which is about three blocks from where I live.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
