My passion again and my working life. This shows a really good description of growing, and the life cycle of a major and very old plant group. Just one error in it though, the presenter says that the young plants are, single cells, they are not. What she means is, that they carry the single reproductive cells.

Amazing, and what a fun video! These are things I have never known, so now I'll be checking my ferns for little spores.

That is an interesting video. I recall seeing the process explained in biology classes but never with living plants. Do you propagate your ferns?

Yes I do propagate my ferns. It is in fact how I make my living, as a fern grower. I do it on a slightly bigger scale than shown in the video, but basically the same method.

@Fernapple - Very Cool! It's great you can make your living doing something you are so passionate about. Must be wonderful.

Never even thought of trying to propagate my ferns , aside from what they do themselves in the garden . Those have reproduced a few on their own .

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
