My passion again and my working life. This shows a really good description of growing, and the life cycle of a major and very old plant group. Just one error in it though, the presenter says that the young plants are, single cells, they are not. What she means is, that they carry the single reproductive cells.
Amazing, and what a fun video! These are things I have never known, so now I'll be checking my ferns for little spores.
That is an interesting video. I recall seeing the process explained in biology classes but never with living plants. Do you propagate your ferns?
Yes I do propagate my ferns. It is in fact how I make my living, as a fern grower. I do it on a slightly bigger scale than shown in the video, but basically the same method.

Posted by KateOahuThis morning I went to a class for making a terrarium with native plants at the Waikiki Community Center, which is about three blocks from where I live.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
