Have spaded up the soil for my spring garden, laid out raised rows, and fertilized. Will have tomato plants and seed potatoes in the ground by Friday, at the latest.

raised beds are great and square foot gardens are easy to tend and produce well

Good deal! Tampa? I can't complain much here in Baton Rouge. This coming Friday night is supposed to dip down to 27f, but just one night. So far this"winter" has only dabbled with barely freezing about three different nights.

I am just starting some seed trays. Excited to put my new mini greenhouse to use. Official last frost date here is a few days into March, but have historically some of our lowest temps can come in late February. I ordered a few more frost cloths for plant protection. Mostly for my brand new rooted rose babies, new blackberry starts, and my lettuces that are in the ground.

It certainly keeps you out of mischief Walt and you deservedly get some great harvests.

Longevity being one.

We have 2' of snow, maybe more tomorrow (hoping for merely "slop"!!!)

But, I ordered 2 thornless blackberry bushes today! Feeling VERY spring-y!!!

I definitely envy you your temperate climate today.

It got up to 7° today. I have a foot or so of snow on the ground. I'm not going to be working outside (except snow removal) for weeks yet.

I remember the winter weather in central Kansas and noerhwesteren Illinois.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
