Is this typical sparrow behavior? After one hatch.... clear out the house? Redecorate??
They're still sparrows acting as a nest building couple occupying that birdhouse.....

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.European house sparrows will use the same nest repeatedly. Before the blue birds even arrive the sparrows have fledged 5. They can have 4 clutches annually & will murder other birds to take over the house. I have not seen then remove & rebuild a house. House wrens will do that. This looks like a wren house.

What I've learned is that they might have detected infestation; ants, spiders, molds, etc. So they cleared out the contents and went with fresh.
