I was lucky to see the flower bloom at the Tucson Botannical Garden in April of 2018. It was publicized that it would bloom soon. I could not get away immediately, but made a hotel reservation. I arrived the night before it got to full bloom and watched it bloom full the next day. I must say, it was a moment to remember!

The good thing about the Tucson Botannical Gardens is that you can also go see the butterfly pavilion.

They are incredibly interesting flowers, but I'm not certain I ever want to see more than a picture of one.

Oh, it doesn’t smell so awful from the distance they make you keep away! If you ever get the chance, go see!

@MsKathleen - I will keep that in mind. Thanks.

I have read about those. I wouldn't want to be close enough to smell it. I had enough issues when Skunk Cabbage was blooming in Washington state.

You have to be really close for it to be really offensive. I guarantee they will not let you get too close. It is a spectacular bloom!

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
