I could never imagine having to go too that much effort to have a garden. Hats off to you and your dedication..
We plant our tomatoes late winter after the frosts.
Although tomaoes will grow here pretty much all year round, the wise gardener plants his crop early to beat the emerging fruitfly which come in plague proportions mid to late spring.
We can , some do, spray the crop for fruitfly, I don't for 2 reasons. One the spray is a chemical and two it costs money..
I had gherkins growing on a trellis, it looked like a bumper crop, but the young gherkins dissappeared lower down, right up to about 2 feet of the ground level.
I indulged in organic sprays for bugs, grubs grasshoppers and what ever anyone suggested.
I was totally stumped . I could not find what was eating the young gherkins.
My wife glanced out of her window and found the marauder... Our dog . He loves fresh vegetables
That's quite a production you have there! Best wishes for a bountiful growing season!
I've seen the cabbages and carrots from Alaska, like something from mythology.
I hope those seed are a good sativa, I'm trying to imagine gigantic sativa buds and stems that make good construction material.
Nope just vegetable seeds...
Winter is the time for dreaming and planning the perfect garden. I love it when the seed catalogs arrive.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
